DESIGN–BUILD

Haver Design & Construction has internal design build capabilities for many remodeling projects. We have also established a design-build partnership with Chris Landerud of Landerud Plan & Design LLC based in McFarland, Wisconsin for more complex or creative residential designs.

Design-build construction offers significant benefits by unifying design and construction under a single contract, resulting in faster project delivery, enhanced cost control, and improved quality through collaboration. This method reduces risks, eliminates finger-pointing between architects and contractors, and often lowers project costs through early, integrated decision-making.

FAQ'S

• We have an idea what want to do but do not know the cost.

  We will give you a ballpark estimate after discussing your ideas and then taking photos and measurements. HDC can also help narrow down your project options by providing comparative quotes using alternative materials and/or suggesting design options.

• What is the timeline for the project?

  Once your project is designed and budgeted, and you have expressed to us that you want to move forward, we will target a start date on our schedule. We will develop a proposed project schedule that will outline all the steps to the construction process. We will contact our subs, especially the ones that are booked out quite a time, and be able to present a schedule that is attainable and reasonable.

• We've contacted other contractors and they don't get back to us — sometimes even after they've met with us. We know everyone is busy but what is HDC policy?

  Once you contact us either by website contact or phone call, within 48 hours Todd Draws or Bob Stoehr will reach out to you to further discuss your project and set up the initial meeting at your home. Also, you can call Bob Stoehr, the Owner at 608-212-3627 to kickstart the process!

• How do we initiate a project with HDC?

  Our first meeting is to discuss your wishes and needs. We will take photos and measurements and give you a ballpark estimate. If satisfactory, the next step is to finalize the drawings and give you a closer estimate based upon your specifications. We will schedule your project after a contract is signed and a down payment received.

• How does HDC deal with asbestos?

  If Asbestos is probable on your property we will introduce a certified asbestos abatement contractor, who can test for asbestos, and if it exists on your property, they can recommend and price out the proper abatement. HDC does not perform Asbestos Abatement.
